About the role
The Montessori Para-Educator assists both Pre-Kindergarten-8th grade students and teachers with classroom preparation and tasks to support the learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Aid in instructional tasks for individual students or small groups.
- Support recordkeeping, work checking, material preparation, and distribution.
- Communicate between the school and families, attending Parent-Staff Meetings.
- Participate in in-service workshops and observe student performance.
- Plan and implement appropriate instructional activities based on observations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED certification.
- Sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited institution, or equivalent.
- Prior to 2017, passing scores on the Work keys test or the ETS test.
- CDA credential, Associate Degree in Early Childhood/Child Development, or completed coursework towards a CDA or Associate Degree.
- Completion of 45 hours of Montessori Assistant Training.
Qualifications
- Willingness to attend and complete Montessori Assistant Training.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Montessori educational principles and practices.

Pay
$17.33/hr.
Schedule
School-based. Not eligible for telecommuting.
