Montessori Lead Teacher

About the role

Little Oaks Montessori Academy is a Montessori school seeking a Lead Teacher to support our Early Childhood Education Program. With mixed-age classrooms and carefully curated Montessori materials, we embrace the authentic Montessori Method, guiding young learners to become innovative thinkers, good citizens, and able leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in your class.
• Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, ensuring compliance with all licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support child achievement and center success.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and childcare center requirements for education.
• 90 credit hours in Infant/Toddler Child Care Teacher Maryland Training Course.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Montessori Credential for 3-6 years (required).
