Monogram General Factory Operator- McNairy County STAY Program

About the role

The Monogram Refrigeration, LLC General Factory Operator position is available at GE Appliances, a Haier company. This role is part of the McNairy County STAY Program and is located in Selmer, TN.

Responsibilities

• Perform general assembly operations and frequent handling of heavy parts.
• Work with a team to assemble refrigerators and freezers daily.
• Maintain basic housekeeping including sweeping and using electronic cleaning equipment.
• Complete tasks and duties assigned by department supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, guidelines, and employee expectations.
• Follow standard work and complete tasks within takt time.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Resume required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active McNairy County student in the STAY program.
• Likewise, must be legally authorized to work in the US.
• Must read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Ability to perform essential job functions within a prescribed time limit.
• Must be able to handle, lift, and carry parts and equipment up to 54 lbs. and push/pull 20 lbs.
• Requires working with chemicals.
• Requires tolerance to heights exceeding six feet and noise levels between 70 to 90 dba.
• One year assembly manufacturing experience preferred, or three months successful experience manufacturing refrigerators, or Certified Production Technician Certificate preferred.

• Physical demands include frequent handling and lifting, standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, pinching, and fine motor dexterity.
• Occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulder level, reaching at knee and floor level, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs/ladders, pivoting, and twisting.
