Monitoring and Compliance Specialist

Open until filled • Non-Exempt • Full-time (40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

About the role

Reporting directly to the Director of Monitoring and Compliance, the Monitoring and Compliance Specialist provides monitoring, oversight, and performance improvement tools to ensure that all centers are fully compliant with Head Start Performance Standards, State licensing regulations, and CAPC's program goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or another business-related field
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in nonprofit or government work preferred
• Knowledge of regulations and standards as they relate to Head Start and the Department of Children and Families
• Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated computer literacy skills, using MS Office applications and other basic data systems including internet navigation
• Must complete the DCF 45-hour training within 6 months of employment
• Current Florida Driver's license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory criminal records check for abuse and neglect
• State required minimum vehicle insurance and uninsured motorist insurance
• Must meet all requirements of the Department of Children and Families
• Background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (per Florida HB 531 (2025))

Physical Demands

• Primarily office-based work; some observations may be conducted outside
• Travel to other center locations required
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs

Pay

$22.18 per hour
