Kindred Hospital New Jersey – Morris County is a 45-bed long-term acute care hospital offering intensive medical and rehabilitative care. The facility partners with your physician and provides 24-hour clinical care seven days a week to support your recovery journey. Located in the city community, it's close to Hurd and Hedden Parks.
Job Summary
Maintains the monitoring of heart rhythm patterns for patients using telemetry equipment. Reviews patient information to identify normal, current, and past variations in heart rhythms. Monitors the cardiac monitor screen and listens for alarms to detect abnormal variations.
Essential Functions
- Maintains accurate records of telemetry patients.
- Immediately notifies RN or supervisor of any detected rhythm changes.
- Assigns transmitters and wires, and sets up the monitor system for telemetry ordered patients.
- Troubleshoots transmitters and wires, and sets up the monitor system for telemetry ordered patients.
- Stays updated on federal, state, and local regulations for food safety and sanitation.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Must have good and regular attendance.
- Satisfactory score on EKG interpretation competency test.
- Able to accurately identify cardiac rhythms and understand their significance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Pay Range
$16.56-$24.61/hr.
