MONITOR TECHNICIAN (FT NIGHTS)

About the role

The role involves monitoring and recognizing continuous electrocardiographic telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of telemetry data.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition as indicated by telemetry readings.
• Communicate with healthcare team members regarding patient status and any emergent changes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or arrhythmia test given by the Education Department.
• Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certification of completion of a Cardiac Monitoring EKG course.

Qualifications

• Full-time night shift availability.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
