Monitor Technician - Central Monitor Bank
Responsibilities
The cardiac monitoring technician provides 24/7 continuous surveillance, analysis and interpretation of patient’s heart rhythm patterns. The technician collaborates with nurses and physicians when patient parameters and waveforms are abnormal or critical. The technician identifies and activates medical emergencies response plans.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalency.
- Successful completion of a monitor training course or competency examination upon employment.
- EXPERIENCE: Healthcare related in one or more of the following: HUC, CNA, MA, Licensed Healthcare Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, Corpsman, Medic or completion of a fundamentals in nursing course.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and basic computer skills.
- Medical terminology and CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) national certification is preferred.
