Responsibilities
- Observes patient’s rhythms on telemetry monitors, continually assesses patient’s baseline rhythm and communicates any changes according to department policies and procedures.
- Maintains inventory of telemetry and cardiac monitoring supplies.
- Tracks telemetry transmitters.
- Orders supplies.
- Affirms and reports any system malfunctions or equipment breakdowns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Non Degree Program Completed course work in Cardiac Arrhythmia from an accredited program Required.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Non Degree Program Completed course work in Cardiac Arrhythmia from an accredited program Required.
- Other Candidates must be able to pass basic arrhythmia test and demonstrate competency in rhythm interpretation.
- Experience: Trade School Medical Assistant and/or EKG Technician program Preferred. 1 year experience working in a hospital environment and handling patients, or related healthcare position. Required.
- Licenses: Required.
