Description
Kindred Hospital Riverside is a 40-bed long-term acute care hospital offering specialized care for extended recovery periods. The facility partners with patients' physicians and provides 24-hour clinical care seven days a week. Located approximately 20 miles southeast of downtown Riverside, it offers amenities like an eight-bed ICU and a negative pressure room.
Job Summary
Maintains the monitoring of heart rhythm patterns for patients using telemetry equipment. Reviews patient information to identify normal, current, and past heart rhythm patterns. Monitors screens and listens for alarms to detect abnormal variations in heart rhythms.
Essential Functions
- Maintains accurate records of telemetry patients.
- Notifies RNs or supervisors immediately of any detected rhythm changes.
- Assigns transmitters and wires, and sets up the monitor system for telemetry ordered patients.
- Troubleshoots transmitters and wires, and sets up the monitor system for telemetry ordered patients.
- Stays informed about federal, state, and local regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Must have good and regular attendance.
- Satisfactory score on EKG interpretation competency test.
- Able to accurately identify cardiac rhythms and comprehend their significance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Pay Range
$21.00 - $23.09/Hr

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
Licenses/Certification
- Current BLS certification.
- EKG certification preferred.
