Monitor Tech - Emergency - Full Time - Days - 12hr ICH

Responsibilities

• Observes and interprets patients' cardiac rhythm status and listens for alarms.
• Informs the RN of variances to initiate examination of the patient.
• Greets people at the nurses' station and answers their questions or refers them to appropriate staff members.
• Transcribes medical orders.
• Performs unit based non-clinical duties related to the admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
• Organizes activities at the nurses' station.
• Accepts patient medications from pharmacy or tube station and gives directly to the charge nurse or assigned nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
• Unit Secretarial course preferred.
• EKG interpretation class required.
• Prior unit secretary experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• BLS required.
• Assaultive Behavior Training Certification that meets AB508 and SB1299 required within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• New hires that have completed Assaultive Behavior training outside of Emanate Health will be required to complete Emanate Health Work Place Violence online awareness module within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Pay

Pay Range $23.00 - $34.50
