Monitor (Lunchroom / Playground / Crossing Guard)

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Obtain First Aid/CPR training
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability and willingness to take directions
• Ability and willingness to meet the needs of students
• Excellent references including attendance and punctuality

Job Goals

To provide a clean and safe environment in the cafeteria, playground, or classroom for students by monitoring and enforcing appropriate student behavior, social interaction, cleanliness, and safe conditions.

Performance Responsibilities

• Clean cafeteria tables and assist in the maintenance of order in the cafeteria, playground, or classroom.
• Promote positive student behavior and social interactions.
• Monitor and/or supervise the student behavior and safety in the cafeteria, playground, or classroom.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary

Monitors (Lunchroom / Playground / Crossing Guards) are on the Classified Salary Schedule. These positions are considered HOURLY positions and do not qualify for experience pay increments. These positions are paid at the minimum of the Grade 1 pay Grade Salary Schedule. Employment Period: HOURLY as needed - NOT eligible for leave or benefits.
