• Split Shifts: 5:30am-9:00am & 1:00pm-5:00pm (example only)

Requirements

• Age 18+
• Ability to pass a background check, CORI/SORI, drug screen
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken and written)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely assist students as needed
• Helping students enter and exit the vehicle
• Using the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belts
• Safely securing students in car seats and booster seats
• Maintain order and monitor student behavior
• Provide appropriate guidance, feedback, and direction when necessary
• Report unsafe and inappropriate student behavior to management
• Follow directions and implement corrective steps as assigned
• Communicate effectively and clearly in English with students, parents, teachers, and Van Pool staff
• Use Van Pool’s two-way radio system
• Install car seats and booster seats
• Follow written and verbal directions and instructions from supervisors
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to work effectively with school age children with special needs
