Monday-Saturday Afternoon Hours

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable caregiver to assist a male client in Greensburg for afternoon shifts, Monday through Saturday. The client uses a walker and has poor balance, requiring assistance with mobility and a safe environment. He also experiences occasional confusion, so the caregiver must be patient, attentive, and comfortable providing companionship and reassurance. The client’s wife supervises and provides cues during his personal care routine, and the caregiver will work alongside her to ensure safe and appropriate support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing/grooming, toileting/incontinence care, bathing, and mobility support.
• Provide companionship and engage the client in meaningful conversation and activities.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Offer transportation and accompany the client to appointments, outings, or social events.
• Monitor the client’s overall well‑being and report any concerns.
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• At least 3–6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or a related field (required).
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation (required).
• Must be at least 18 years old (required).
• Negative results of either a 2‑Step TB Test or TB Quantiferon Gold Blood Test.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a passion for helping others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
