Sierrita operations is located just 20 miles from Tucson – Arizona’s second-largest city. Responsibilities

• Safely assist with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including haul trucks, water trucks, rubber tire and track dozers, front-end loaders, and motor graders.
• Assist Journeyman Mechanics with maintenance activities on transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives, and other heavy equipment systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities on heavy equipment.
• Complete work orders and other maintenance documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards.
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where applicable).
• Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills, including passing a written assessment based on skills, abilities, academic knowledge, and safety.
• Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
• Must pass all required training and/or testing.
• May be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Previous experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude (preferred).

Pay

The estimated pay range for this role is $21.00 - $27.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
