Molecular Genetics Technologist II

About the role

The Molecular Genetics Technologist II conducts high-complexity molecular tests in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical testing following CAP, NY, and CLIA regulations.
• Troubleshoot assay performance and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Conduct quality control (QC) checks and report deviations promptly.
• Manage laboratory stock levels and replenish supplies.
• Assist in training new employees as required.
• Execute other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline or medical technology.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 0–2 years relevant experience.
• Preferred MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP).
