Molding Technician (nights)
About the role
Determines and implements corrective actions and evaluates effectiveness as appropriate.
Maintains quality standards through monitoring machine/process operations and documentation.
Utilizes analytical and Scientific Injection Molding troubleshooting techniques for continuous improvement.
Works with support departments such as maintenance, tool room, automation, and engineering.
Communicates with process manager and department production monitoring system (Factbird).
Performs lower level sampling as needed by process engineer.
Closes NCR's or Process Audits with supervisor.
Improves part capture and scrap reduction techniques within work cell.
Brainstorms continuous improvement ideas with Shift Leader and Continuous Improvement & Process Manager.
Supports and maintains all company policies including ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.

Requirements
- Proficient in Scientific Injection Molding principles.
- Experience with problem solving methodologies.
- Troubleshooting and processing experience.
- Experience using basic injection molding measurement instruments (Weigh Scale, Calipers, Pyrometer, etc.).
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience operating a sit down forklift.
- Experience using an overhead crane for mold installation.
- Experience training technical employees.
- Manufacturing environment.
- Some exposure to office environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/walk 80% of the time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Experience with injection molding processes.
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with scientific injection molding techniques.
- Experience with basic injection molding measurement instruments.
- Experience with forklift operation.
- Experience with overhead crane operation.
- Experience with training technical employees.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

Benefits
Compensation Range: Base rate of $25.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Additional $2.00 shift differential for nights.
Hours + Schedule: 6:00 pm- 6:15 am; 36 48 schedule
