Molding Team Lead ( Day Shift )
About the role
The Team Leader is accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and providing clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations. They support and investigate situations involving perceived, imminent safety risks, and actively participate in risk assessment activities.
Responsibilities
- Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
- Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Drives prioritized corrective and preventive actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks.
- Reviews product quality, communicating with Quality Assurance.
- Determines when product needs to be scrapped or placed on hold for higher level review/action.
- Aids in preparing staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage on all machines for scheduled production.
- Works with Supervisor to set production goals.
- Ensures that equipment runs according to the instructions/specifications on the production schedule, product boards, and process specifications.
- Notifies Maintenance of any equipment related issues.
- Communicates with Supervisor to resolve problems.
- Handles work tasks including inspections, hot stamping, handle installation, gasket installation, and packing per instructions.
- Verifies pull-apart, stacks product onto tray packs, labels, and documents finished product.
- Maintains production supplies such as bags, gaskets, handles, labels, tray packs, and TPI’s.
- Exhibits leadership skills, develops and applies training skills, uses problem-solving abilities to handle workplace situations, motivates and communicates with Packer Handlers and Machines Operators, alerts Mold Techs and Shift Supervisor of safety, quality, machine, raw material, packaging, documentation or production concerns.
- Performs all functions of the Packer Handler and Machines Operator positions as needed to meet production requirements.
- Performs any other tasks as assigned.

Pay
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule
✅ 12-hour shifts ✅ 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off ✅ Paid lunch breaks
Pay Progression
Starting pay of $21.00 per hour 📈 Increase to $22.00 per hour after 90 days with a successful performance evaluation
