Molding Machine Operator 1st Shift
About the role
Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. This includes tasks like pumping peanut butter into jars, gluing shoes, spraying car finishes, coating pills, painting houses, and texturing walls.
Responsibilities
- Operate, load, and maintain auxiliary equipment such as dryers, grinders, presses, robots, and routers.
- Maintain production of injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and processes to produce quality products for internal and external customers in a safe and productive manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Read and understand operation layouts and blueprints.
- Inspect component features in accordance with inspection procedures.
- Package parts as detailed in process specifications and maintain inventory.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues affecting product quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment.
- Ability to perform various operations under minimum supervision, while maintaining required levels of quality and quantity.
- Demonstrated skill and ability to use precision measuring equipment.
- Knowledge and adherence to safety rules and practices.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to stand/sit/walk for up to eight hours per day.
- Frequent, repetitive elbow movements.
- Reaching, grasping, gripping, and fine manipulation with hands is required.
- Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, lift, and/or load up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications
- Completion of Math for Manufacturing and Basic Blueprint Reading for Manufacturing.
- Personal computer skills.
- Prior experience in the operation of injection molding equipment.
- Previous experience inspecting components.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $25.15 - $28.44 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. Final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.
