About the role

The role involves designing and developing high-quality prototypes and production parts using advanced manufacturing technologies. It includes working closely with clients to understand their needs and translating those needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop prototypes and production parts using Protolabs' state-of-the-art equipment and software.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and client expectations.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, including problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in prototyping and/or production.
  • Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D modeling and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of injection molding, casting, and additive manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of material properties and their impact on part performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule
