Modern & Classical Language Teacher - Spanish

Concord Academy, an independent, co-educational boarding and day school, seeks a 0.75 FTE Spanish teacher for a one-year position in the Modern & Classical Languages department. Candidates who can also offer coursework in French, Latin, German, or Mandarin are particularly encouraged to apply.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, innovative educator to teach Spanish across all levels. The successful candidate will collaborate with the department to cover needed sections of the curriculum, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and show enthusiasm for working with adolescents to help them achieve high proficiency in their chosen language(s).

This role involves full participation in the life of the school, including advising, serving on committees or clubs, and attending school events. Coaching an athletic team is welcomed but not required and is remunerated separately. On-campus housing is not available for the 2026-27 year but may be offered in the future.

Responsibilities

Pay

Salary ranges from $52,000 to $114,000, dependent on educational credentials and years of experience, and is prorated based on FTE:

• 1–12 years of experience: $52,000 – $85,000
• 12–24 years of experience: $86,000 – $114,000
