Modeling and Simulation Engineer with Security Clearance
About the role
Radiance Technologies is an employee-owned company with benefits that are unmatched by most companies in the Huntsville, AL or Dayton, OH areas. We are searching for a talented software engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate software solutions into existing Modeling & Simulation frameworks, such as AFSIM, ITASE, and NGTS, using modern Agile software development practices.
- Work with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to explore and develop solutions in support of AFRL, NASIC, DARPA and other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years software development experience
- Minimum of 3 years software development in a systems language (C++ preferred)
- Experience following agile development processes
- Experience using source control, issue management, and CI/CD tools such as git, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, Gitlab runners or similar
- Experience developing software for Windows platforms
Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with DoD modeling and simulation frameworks, such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE
- Experience working in integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and CLion
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation best practices
- Experience developing software for Linux platforms
- Familiarity with DoD security practices
