Responsibilities
- Model, design and develop behavior simulation software with high realistic standard for different traffic participants, such as pedestrians, bicycles, vehicles, trucks, and trains.
- Design and develop a scalable and flexible simulation framework and engine that can host and manage different modeling modules.
- Design and develop metrics to evaluate and ensure simulation behavior as real world.
- Design and develop a user interface, a language for module definition, and a data schema to define test scenarios.
- Design and develop virtual components to adapt with different AI modules.
- Work closely with other frontend, backend and modeling engineers to ensure simulation services work together as expected.
- Work closely with simulation users to locate issues, define features, and build codes to address simulation bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software development experience, including internship
- 2+ years of experience in architecture design (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- 2+ years of simulation modeling development experience in ADS related industry and focus on behavior simulation, driving simulation, traffic simulation or kinematic simulation
- Experience in programming with at least one software programming language, including C++ and Python
