About the role

This position supports the US Army Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellence (USA SMD CoE) by conducting Integrated Air and Missile Defense (I-AMD) force-on-force Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis. Tasks include study planning, scenario development, IAMD system modeling, scenario testing, output data analysis, and results report development.

  • Presenting data and insights through the generation of effort products, including results reports
  • Developing and enhancing deliverable products, data sources, and analytical tools

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Active Secret Clearance

Skills

  • Experience with Directed Energy systems (High Energy Lasers and/or High Power Microwaves)
  • Strong analytic and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team both locally and remotely
  • Collaboration with customers and stakeholders to identify and develop the best MS&A tools and approaches
  • Programming/coding/scripting experience in Python and/or C++
  • Experience processing and analyzing large datasets
  • Experience using AFSIM or similar Air and Missile Defense MS&A tools (e.g., EADSIM, HELCoMES, STK, C2BMC Planner, WILMA, STORM, HELEEOS, LEEDR)
  • Knowledge of IAMD systems (e.g., Aegis, THAAD, Patriot, IFPC, M-SHORAD, directed energy, air platforms, air/ground sensors)

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL
