Responsibilities
- Working in concert with other MTSI distributed Mission Engineering teams, define study questions to address areas of concern and translate into analysis plans.
- Develop models in physics simulation frameworks to represent system performance and behaviors.
- Conduct simulation runs for studies using defined run matrix and produce output.
- Assist in performing verification and validation of simulation input, output and results.
- Post-process output data into measures of merit and effectiveness to support the analysis plan objectives.
- Assist in interpretation of model results and development of presentations to deliver findings and conclusions to the customer in support of their analytical objectives.
- Assist in architecting, developing, and testing AFSIM plug-ins using C++.
Requirements
- US citizenship and a secret level security clearance is required.
- 3+ years of experience with mission-level modeling and simulation and Operations Analysis principals.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science or similar field.
- Knowledge of modeling and simulation methodologies and tools (i.e. AFSIM, Suppressor, or EADSIM).
- Familiarization with developing experimental designs, executing study plans, and constructing scenario elements.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and principles, particularly C++.
- Experience with dev-ops and software architecture.
- Experience conducting data analytics using various tools.
- Experience with statistics and their application in Monte Carlo simulations.
- Some local travel required.
Qualifications
- Desired qualifications include:
- Experience with modeling and simulation methodologies and tools.
- Experience presenting data and results to team members and customers.
- Experience with data visualization or visual communications.
- Experience developing AFSIM or other M&S software plug-ins with C++ or a similar language.
- Experience with ancillary disciplines such as radar operations, weapons systems, satellites, etc.
