About the role
This position is for Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company. We are looking for an emerging technical authority with systems engineering and MBSE expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex defense challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage system requirements throughout their lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain system architectures and models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
- Apply the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) to develop and maintain architecture views, viewpoints, relationships, and traceability across system models.
- Identify program requirements, track performance metrics, and manage systems engineering processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment and integration of systems engineering and architecture efforts.
- Perform requirements verification, compliance assessments, and model reviews in support of major design reviews.
- Support integration, verification, validation, and Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities.
Qualifications
- Education: BS (5–7 years), MS (3–5 years), or PhD (0–2 years).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience applying the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) in an MBSE environment; UAF experience is required.
- Experience implementing open systems standards and approaches, including MOSA, WOSA, and GCIA, across diverse platforms such as ground, air, maritime, space, or joint systems.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools and methodologies, such as Cameo Systems Modeler, SysML, and related digital engineering tools.
- Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience is highly desired, including experience with test planning, requirements verification, integration, test execution, and/or evaluation of system performance.
- Experience supporting major systems engineering technical reviews within DoD acquisition programs is desired.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.
