Mobility Technician - Float Unit - Full Time - SVH

Collaborates with nursing leadership, rehab services, quality, patient care technicians, physicians, and therapists to support early mobility initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate early mobility interventions (40%)
• Assist staff with mobilizing complex and high-risk patients (20%)
• Update patient EMR as directed, including white boards (10%)
• Educate staff regarding safe patient handling equipment and mobility tools (10%)
• Serve as an active member of the mobility and fall team (10%)
• Monitor mobility metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives (10%)
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• CPR certification – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

• Acute patient care experience
• Safe transferring of patients

• Documentation of mobilization

Schedule

Full time – 36 hours per week. Must be flexible to work 8-hour shifts (days/evenings) with fair share of weekends and holidays.
