Mobility Specialist - Transportation Specialist

About the Role
This position provides transportation and mobility management support to the USARCENT G4, planning and coordinating the strategic and theater movement of units, equipment, and sustainment cargo in support of operations, exercises, and contingencies in the USCENTCOM AOR.
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain movement requirements and deployment data, including TPFDD development and refinement in JOPES/JPES.
- Coordinate strategic airlift and sealift requirements with USTRANSCOM, SDDC, and supporting movement control organizations.
- Support deployment, redeployment, and reception/staging/onward movement/integration planning.
- Track intransit visibility of units and cargo; research and resolve movement discrepancies and frustrated cargo.
- Coordinate customs, border clearance, and hazardous materiel documentation requirements for theater movements.
- Prepare movement status reports, closure estimates, and command briefings.
- Support transportation planning for USARCENT exercises and contingency operations.
- Complete all contract-required training and reporting: AT Level I and iWATCH within 30 calendar days, TARP annually, DoD IA awareness training with ATCTS registration, and daily PERSTAT input.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Onsite at Shaw AFB, SC.
- OCONUS travel possible.
- Active SECRET clearance required at the time of hire.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred; Associate's degree with six (6) years of directly relevant experience is acceptable. Four (4) additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
Required Experience: Minimum four (4) years of transportation, mobility, or deployment operations experience. JOPES/TPFDD experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with SDDC and USTRANSCOM movement processes required.
Required Certifications / Licenses: Hazardous materiel certification and formal JOPES training preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Former Army 88N Transportation Management Coordinator, 882A Mobility Warrant Officer, or 88A/90A transportation officer.
- Prior unit movement officer or installation transportation office experience.
- Experience with IGC, ITV, and Army deployment systems.
- Prior CENTCOM AOR deployment/redeployment experience.
