Mobility Aide

About the role

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of the experience provided to our patients. The Mobility Aide is a team member responsible for assisting patients navigating various care centers safely. This position works under the supervision of the Building Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients requiring transportation or ambulatory assistance within and throughout the assigned building for scheduled appointments.
• Cook up coordination with all patient care practices, central registration, and customer service teams within the assigned building.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Within 6 months of hire, obtain American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Meet minimum demonstration of competency for patient transfers and transportation.
• Mandatory education and health requirements must be met.
• Demonstrate competency in interpersonal/interdepartmental relations and cognitive skills to meet essential job functions.
• Maintain current American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Qualifications

Benefits

• 40 hours a week.
• Varying shifts, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
