Mobile Wound Care Nurse

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct wound care treatment under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician.
• Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, debridement assistance, and infection control measures.
• Auxiliary in advanced wound care techniques, including negative pressure wound therapy and compression therapy.
• Inform patients, caregivers, and facility staff about wound prevention and treatment strategies.
• Document patient encounters in an EMR system in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain vigilance over patient progress and communicate significant changes to the supervising provider.
• Coordinate with home health agencies, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care continuity.
• Travel to patients' homes, skilled nursing facilities, and long-term care settings within the assigned service area.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Nevada.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care, home health, long-term care, or a related field.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) or similar certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong independent working ability and autonomy in the field.
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel within the service area.

Pay

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
