About the Role

As a Mobile Truck Technician / Mechanic, you will work in the field at customer locations on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely. Your responsibilities include analyzing and diagnosing truck malfunctions or system failures, determining the best course of action to return the truck to peak performance, and maintaining and servicing trucks to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the field at customer locations on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks
  • Analyze and diagnose truck malfunctions or system failures
  • Determine the best course of action to return the truck to peak performance
  • Repair or rebuild cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems
  • Maintain and service trucks to ensure reliability and minimize downtime
  • Deliver work that meets the highest standards of safety and quality

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair
  • Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Cummins and MX software experience preferred
  • Self-motivation and assertiveness
  • Ability to work under little or no supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills
  • Must provide own tools
  • Driver’s license with a good driving record. Class A CDL preferred
