About the Role

A Senior Mobile Technician works under limited supervision and performs maintenance services and repairs in complex, skilled areas including but not limited to plumbing, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs, and/or installations. Responsible for conducting daily inspections of property sidewalks, parking lots, and grounds, and performing minor repairs and maintenance to ensure a safe facility.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine site inspections to identify and take corrective action for potential safety concerns, referring more complex situations to higher levels.
  • Assists others by performing a variety of routine manual labor tasks, including but not limited to lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles.
  • May assist with office moves and staff relocation.
  • Performs skilled work in general maintenance and minor repair of buildings and equipment, including repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities.
  • Preserves the appearance of the facility by performing routine exterior cleaning of sidewalks and parking lots.
  • Keeps facility and office safe from casualties by removing any obstruction, parcels, or debris from walkways and doorways.
  • Assesses maintenance and repair needs, referring complex situations to higher levels.
  • Trains, assigns tasks, and provides guidance and leadership to lower-level General Maintenance Technicians.
  • Applies mastery of skills through procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment as appropriate to the area of specialization.
  • Conducts routine inspections to determine maintenance work required.
  • Maintains, inspects, and inventories all equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • May act as a liaison with outside vendors.
  • Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
  • Compiles schedules for special assignments.
  • Maintains knowledge of and performs all work in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
  • Participates in internal and/or outside training as mandated by management.
  • Performs special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job and completes required compliance trainings.
  • Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Expected to travel to corporate offices and/or branch locations in assigned footprint.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC) or foreign equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4+ years conducting building repair and maintenance work.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply mastery of skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment as appropriate to area of specialization.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures as related to maintenance functions and OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Computer literate with basic proficiency in internet navigation, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Good communication, coordination, customer service, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to drive a company-owned vehicle to various geographic locations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted or while assisting others (with or without mechanical equipment).
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, dirt, and various weather conditions.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside and operate seasonal equipment (e.g., snow blower, grass cutter, gas generators).
  • Ability to work “on-call” and/or a flexible schedule as necessary.
  • Maintenance facilities experience in a senior or lead-level capacity (preferred).

Pay

Pay Range: $18.43 - $35.45 per hour.
