About the role
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
Requirements
- 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
Skills
- Hands-on experience with automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license

Pay & Schedule
- Pay $35.00 - $40.00/hour (based on experience)
- Pay Frequency: Weekly pay - every Friday
- Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 800pm - 430 am (Overnight Shift)
Working Conditions
- Mobile, outside, and/or shop environment
- Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases
- Frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
- Lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces
- Regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment
- May be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms
- Safety requirements for seeing and hearing sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace
