Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using the appropriate tools to conform to U-Haul standards.
• Perform work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what to do about them.
• Engage in continued U-Haul equipment education.
• Establish an effective route in the assigned area to repair all down or inoperable equipment and ensure repairs are scheduled.
• Maintain inventory of all repair parts and ensure all parts used are charged out.
• Assist in additional areas as necessary, following the directives of your supervisor.

Requirements

• Self-starter with the ability to work without supervision.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive/trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical exertion, including long periods of standing both indoors and outdoors, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
