Responsibilities
- Complete operation of PCB production area
- Use hand tools, millimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators and other precision electronic instruments
- Build through-hole and SMT boards, inspect, test, repair, program and troubleshoot a wide variety of analog and digital electronic assemblies and warning systems consisting of various printed circuit boards
- Correct product performance to meet specifications and maintain quality standards
- Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on production line equipment
- Operate and perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, heating equipment, robotic equipment, SMT placement machines, wave solder, conformal coat machines, reflow ovens, potting equipment, and automatic optical inspection equipment
- Develop and modify operating programs, program chips, and perform necessary duties to produce good quality PCB boards
- Communicate excessive or recurring defects and perform necessary duties to resolve issues
- Train new employees in all job functions
- Follow safety rules, ESD guidelines, and keep work cell area and equipment clean and orderly
Requirements
- Proficient in setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and operating production line equipment
- Read and understand assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, suppliers, engineers, and other manufacturing personnel
- Willingness to initiate problem-solving discussions and work with engineering or management to resolve issues
- Good troubleshooting skills, including the ability to analyze test results and determine cause of operational faults
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work daily
- Good communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, design/test engineering, and other manufacturing personnel
Qualifications
- 2-year technical college degree, certificate, or equivalent
- Minimum three years or more work experience in a closely related industry
