Mobile Phlebotomist - Richmond, VA (Full-Time, Temporary)

About the role

This is a temporary, full-time position for nurses, phlebotomists, or medical assistants. As a Sprinter, you’ll provide a diverse array of preventative care and diagnostic services to patients in the comfort of their homes. Training will be offered for services such as capturing diabetic retina images, performing ECGs, recording using digital stethoscopes, and more.

Successful candidates will have previous experience in venipuncture, coupled with traits such as dependability, professionalism, problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to customer service excellence. The role demands the ability to operate autonomously with an emphasis on exceptional quality. A day in the life

• Commence the day by ensuring you have all proper supplies and PPE for that day’s patients.
• Navigate using easy and modern technology to access your schedule and commute to each patient’s home.
• Create meaningful bonds by making a warm and welcoming connection with a diverse range of patients.
• Provide patient-centric, diagnostic, and low-acuity care, including phlebotomy, specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, retina exams, ECGs, and more—all rendered in a comfortable manner for the patient.
• Ensure proper labeling of collected samples and coordinate drop-off to the appropriate lab or shipment facility.

• Use mobile devices for charting and HIPAA-secure messaging apps for care coordination.
• Work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically access and navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds while walking.

Requirements

• State-required licensure and/or proof of training.
• National certification for applicants in states without state-level licensure requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Proof of completion of course/program or certification based on licensure level.
• Valid Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance.
• Reliable transportation (you will use your own vehicle to travel to patient homes).
• Pass national background check and DMV check.
• Interest in learning and advancing your skill set.

• COVID + booster (Primary Series + 1 Booster).
• Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR).
• Hepatitis B series.
• Varicella.
• TB test (within the past year).
• Influenza (annual or signed exemption).
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (TDaP - within the past 10 years).
