About Us

Sprinter Health is a high-growth stage startup and a boots-on-the-ground clinician network for the telehealth age, bringing routine health services such as blood draws and vitals directly to the patient’s home. We are seeking full-time experienced and professional phlebotomists who are reliable, customer-oriented, and able to work independently with a high standard of excellence. Successful candidates will be friendly, compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely care about patients, delivering a caring and high-quality healthcare experience. This is a temporary position.

A Day in the Life

Your day will begin by ensuring you have all the proper supplies and PPE for that day’s patients. Using easy and modern technology, you will access your schedule and travel to patient homes. Once there, you will:

  • Make a warm and welcoming connection with patients of all ages
  • Collect relevant information and patient samples, including specimen collection, vital signs, and heart and lung tones
  • Use expert phlebotomy skills to collect blood samples in a manner that is comfortable for the patient
  • Ensure samples are labeled properly and coordinate drop-off to the appropriate lab or shipment facility

Responsibilities

  • Consistently exhibit the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, accountability, confidentiality, care, and compassion
  • Work in a revolutionary environment that may require last-minute problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Use mobile devices for charting and HIPAA-secure messaging apps for care coordination
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Navigate and access patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a phlebotomist
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with current vehicle insurance
  • Ability to pass national background check and DMV check
  • Valid clinical license
  • Interest in learning and advancing your skill set

Qualifications

To begin working with patients, you will need:

  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Transcript of Program Graduation
  • COVID-19 vaccine + booster (Vaccine 1 of 2, Vaccine 2 of 2, Booster 1)
  • Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B (Hep B)
  • Varicella
  • TB test (within the past year)
  • Flu vaccine (annual or signed exemption)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (TDaP - within the past 10 years)
