Mobile Phlebotomist

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Specimen collection at Nursing Homes, Assisted Living facilities, Long-Term Care Facilities & Private patient homes
• Transportation of the specimen back to the main testing facility in Bedford TX (72011)
• General laboratory specimen processing, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity by using appropriate techniques for all age criteria as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum age requirement of 18
• High school graduate or equivalent through the GED exam
• Good reading, writing, and math abilities
• Good organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of department resource materials
• Previous experience of a minimum of 1 year in a clinical laboratory setting
• Phlebotomy positions may substitute completion of a phlebotomy school for the experience
• Basic computer skills
• Valid State driver’s license and personal vehicle for specimen collections

SCHEDULE

Scheduled shift: Shift 1 Sunday; 05:00 a.m. - 01:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 07:30 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. Shift 2 Thursday to Monday; 01:00 p.m. to 09:00 p.m. Sunday; Morning.

Experience

• Phlebotomy: 2 years (Required)
