About APPS Paramedical Services
American Para Professional Systems, or APPS Paramedical, provides the Insurance Industry with medical information by obtaining medical histories and completing physical examinations on applying for Life / Health / Disability / or Long Term Care Insurance. The industry refers to their services as a "PARAMEDICAL SERVICE".
We started contracting business on August 1, 1991, as a dba contract office of American Para Professional Systems, Inc. in Jericho, NY. This partnership allowed us to serve over 850 insurance companies and connect with a family of companies doing the same work throughout the United States. Since then, we have grown steadily and met all of our yearly goals. In February 2010, the corporation expanded its service area to the northern half of Indiana, and on October 1, 2013, Portamedic, a division of Hooper Holmes, was acquired, making us the dominant company in the territory and the largest provider of "Para Medical Services" in the country.
