About the Role
Barkbus is the nation's premier mobile grooming service, passionate about the health, happiness, and overall wellness of pets. We serve pet parents across Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver premium 1-on-1 care, performing all aspects of dog bathing, including shampooing, conditioning, and drying
- Perform more advanced bathing services, such as de-shedding treatments, paw pad and sanitary trims, and nail clipping
- Operate independently within our state-of-the-art Hanvey grooming vans
- Prioritize safety and quality while maintaining a manageable daily schedule
Role Requirements
- 6+ months of professional dog bathing experience
- Experience with de-shedding treatments, paw pad and sanitary trims, and nail clipping
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable interacting with customers/pet parents
- Comfortable using smartphones (device provided!)
- Ability to safely lift and handle dogs up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to safely guide or maneuver dogs up to 100 lbs with the use of the van’s equipment (e.g., lift, grooming table)
Compensation, Benefits & Perks
- Pay: $22 - $28/hour (base pay plus tips)
- Weekly bonus potential: up to $225
