About the role
Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review
- Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
- Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments
- Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards
- Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
- Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
- Travel to patient homes to conduct visits
- Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Certification in Adult is required; Pediatric certification not required but a plus
- 3+ years of clinical sonography experience, in both adult and pediatrics
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally
- Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required
- Tech savvy and self sufficient with digital tools
- Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
- Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments
- Time management and organizational skills
