Responsibilities

  • Perform the full range of repair and modification to equipment typically used in the construction industry.
  • Perform the full range of repair and modification to company vehicles and dump trucks within the scope of repairs and maintenance that don’t require special procedures, tools, or specialized work performed by the manufacturer.
  • Maintain equipment by performing basic preventive maintenance like, filters, fluids, lights, tires, cylinders, cleaning, etc.
  • Communicate the need to shut down equipment to jobsite supervision and warehouse management for minor repairs, as well as service and safety issues.
  • Report machine abuse and neglect to warehouse manager for immediate action.
  • Maintain shop and mechanic truck inventories, reporting or ordering consumables and parts when needed.
  • Submit photos, timecards, service reports, and other information through EBS software, email, or in written form to warehouse office in a timely manner.
  • Keep good maintenance and repair records for all equipment.
  • Weld as needed.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of all machines systems including diesel engines, gas engines, hydraulic, electrical systems, mechanical and fluid power transmission, and the processes typically used to repair and maintain them.
  • Read, understand, and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work.
  • Communicate with jobsite management and warehouse management on the diagnosis and status of repairs.
  • React quickly to needed repairs, thinking outside the box to keep the equipment running until the machine can be adequately fixed while also using good judgement and making sure the equipment is safe to use.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, or a combination of both.
  • Be able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
  • Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Excel at both verbal and written communication.

Pay

Schedule

  • Full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm.
