What this job involves
- Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts
- Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps
- Maintain and complete documentation for fire extinguishers and other building systems to ensure compliance
- Prepare, prime and paint building interior and exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings
- Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned
- Prioritize all preventative maintenance, corrective and emergent work orders for assigned sites (annual, monthly, weekly, and daily)
- Update work order status in real time utilizing CMMS system and escalate problems or issues to customers and management in a timely manner
What your day-to-day will look like
The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic performs both preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/systems across assigned facilities. This role assists senior mechanics in maintenance and repair efforts while independently performing defined tasks. The position encompasses inspections and repairs of property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting to ensure optimal facility operations and client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Proficiency in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, CMMS (Maximo)
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Universal License
- BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM (BAS) experience
- Preventative maintenance experience on HVAC equipment
