About the role

Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician to join their recently acquired company, Corcoran Fleet Services. This position supports the combined future growth of the company and offers travel opportunities across the state.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs, light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics, licensed DOT inspections, and other duties as assigned at customer locations.
  • Learn and apply additional advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques.
  • Comply with all company policies and achieve high level performance metrics.
  • Work on various light/medium duty vehicles such as F150, F250, and F350, including some specialty equipment.
  • Travel to and perform work at customer locations, with most of the work performed outside.
  • Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as scanners and pressure gauges.
  • Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives.
  • Order and pick up parts for installation, and document work performed according to company standards.
  • Complete DOT forms and other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Communicate with support team in corporate offices to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers, and discuss RO findings notes.
  • Participate and complete all-in company required safety training.
  • Conduct safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned service vehicle.
  • Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • One (1) year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
  • Two (2) years of equivalent experience in a similar capacity Technician role.
  • Participate in and complete all-in company required training.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of 6.67 hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Additional paid time off includes bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave. Pay ranges from $20.10 to $30.10 per flag hour based on location, and the position may also be eligible for additional compensation, which may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
