Mobile Hybrid Tech - HVAC + Building Maint.

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will monitor, maintain, and repair building system operations and performance in areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. This mobile role supports a shipping-industry client in St. George and surrounding areas (up to a 3-hour drive). A company vehicle, tools, phone, tablet, uniforms, and PPE are provided. Must successfully complete a background check, drug screen (including marijuana), and motor vehicle check.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. No on-call or overtime required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life-safety, and control systems.
• Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.
• Comply with all codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Maintain an energy-management program to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with implementing a preventive-maintenance program to extend the rated life of building machinery and systems.
• Perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems—fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing—to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities and meets prescribed environmental conditions.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and broad knowledge of several disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values; build consensus and convince others to reach agreement.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies; explain difficult or sensitive information.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade-school diploma with 4–5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification and any certifications/licenses required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills; ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related figures.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
