Mobile HVAC Engineer/ General Maintenance - Hybrid
As a Hybrid Mobile Technician, you will maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems as well as perform general building maintenance, including light electrical, plumbing, and basic carpentry at multiple locations and various types of buildings. CBRE provides a company van, gas card, tablet, phone, uniforms, boot allowance, and all necessary tools for the role.
About the role
This position supports one of our premier telecommunications providers with a schedule of approximately 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break. No on-call or weekend work is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC/R equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, determine the best course of action for modifications, and apply expertise to maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and light carpentry.
- Complete maintenance and repair records.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Share in-depth knowledge of HVAC/Refrigeration systems and broad knowledge of facilities maintenance.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE’s culture.
- Explain technical information to others in a straightforward, professional manner to ensure understanding of technical details and solutions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school certification with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Universal EPA or CFC Certification.
- Basic knowledge and skills in light carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, as this is a hybrid role.
- Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Strong organizational skills, advanced problem-solving abilities, and an inquisitive mentality.
- Desire to innovate and apply new approaches to existing solutions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform calculations such as percentages, fractions, and similar computations.
- Must be permitted to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
