Responsibilities
- Travel to customer or dealer locations, process work orders for customer repairs, and service/repair equipment.
- Service parts ordering and filing warranty claims.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment & tools.
- Complete all warranty paperwork in a timely manner.
- Accurately document work performed daily.
- Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle.
- Special order parts for all work orders.
- Perform service work safely and in a timely manner.
- Use computer systems to identify parts and troubleshoot systems.
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
- Provide a safe environment by keeping work areas clean & organized.
- Communicate effectively with customers, including equipment sales support and customer education.
- Prepare daily updates of work completed, problems identified, and future schedule.
- Loading and unloading of customer machines for repair and delivery.
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic servicing of customer machines.
- May be required to cross train and perform other duties.
- Participate in the equipment sales process if needed.
- Handle multiple priorities, organize workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Operate machinery and equipment such as gantry cranes, electric hoists, servicing and diagnostic equipment, service trucks, and multimeters.
- Use general office equipment with repetitive wrist movements on keyboard.
- Versatile communication skills, including verbal communication with all audiences (in-person or via handheld transceiver).
- Lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively.
- Access and navigate each department across facilities.
- Verbal communication effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).
- Close visual acuity.
Qualifications
- Expert mechanical abilities in small engine, diesel, and hydraulic systems, including professional experience servicing sub-compact and compact utility tractors at a tractor dealership.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless handheld unit.
- Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely.
- Ability to complete computer-based training.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 65 pounds at times.
- Must be able to repetitively lift, bend, carry and push.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department across facilities.
- Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).
- Must have close visual acuity.
