About the Role
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) works with clients to make real estate a significant contributor to organizational productivity and performance. As a Mobile Engineer in Omaha, NE, you will maintain retail banking locations, ensuring they operate efficiently across multiple sites. This role is ideal if you thrive with independence and fast-paced problem-solving.
This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of maintenance and repairs for mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems to keep facilities and building systems up to applicable standards.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed for repairs, and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; manage repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Review inspections of building and industrial systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply deep expertise in standard principles and procedures to solve sophisticated challenges, deliver innovative solutions, and mentor others by sharing broad knowledge.
- Lead by example through behaviors aligned with CBRE’s RISE values, build consensus across teams, and influence customer, operational, and project activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, trade school diploma, or 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Universal CFC certification and valid Driver’s license required.
- Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and CMMS.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
