Mobile Engineer

About the role

CBRE is seeking Building Engineers to support facilities in the Bronx, NY area. The role involves overseeing repairs and maintaining various building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems.
• Review and estimate time and materials needed for repairs.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Review inspections of building and industrial systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and directives.
• Operate company vehicles.
• Coach and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Lead by example and model CBRE values.
• Collaborate across teams to impact customer, operational, and service activities.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.

Requirements

• Commercial and Industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience as a building engineer, minimum of four (4) years.
• Universal EPA license required.
• Mobile maintenance experience preferred.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
• Certification in CFC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office & CMMS).

Skills

• Understanding of existing procedures and standards.
• Ability to analyze and apply judgment to solve problems.
• Strong organizational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
