About the role

We seek candidates who enjoy interacting with others and can bring a smile to someone's face. Our primary focus is on helping the community.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with generous blood donors
  • Record keeping
  • Set up and tear down blood drives
  • Floating to various locations at fixed sites (South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart)
  • Aid in donor reactions
  • Perform quality control
  • Document drive statistics
  • Review histories to confirm eligibility to donate

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and possible use of own vehicle
  • CPR certification (we'll pay for this)
  • Able to lift 50 lbs occasionally

Qualifications

  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Great customer service skills

Benefits

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable education/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. We offer benefits to those employees who work at least 20 hours per week.

Schedule

Typical hours for these positions have a variable start between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Blood drives normally last anywhere from 6 - 8 hours.
