Responsibilities
- Provide mobile repair and maintenance services for diesel engines, transmissions, and related vehicle systems
- Diagnose mechanical problems accurately and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements
- Travel to various customer sites as needed, carrying necessary tools and parts
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and system inspections
- Communicate effectively with customers about repairs performed, timelines, and costs
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all jobs completed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Keep up to date with advancements in diesel technology and repair techniques
Requirements
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with mobile service experience
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and heavy-duty vehicle components
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours
- Possession of relevant diesel mechanic certifications is a plus
- Own tools and reliable transportation are preferred
